Delivery Person

H-Line Enterprises is seeking applicants for the position of Delivery Person.

Under the general supervision of the Storekeeper position and the Shop Manager, as well as the General Manager. This position will need to prioritize numerous requests while maintaining excellent relationships with both internal and external customers. They are responsible for inspecting their delivery vehicle, verifying shipments, and loading and unloading goods to be transported. The Delivery Person is also responsible for keeping detailed records of their deliveries.

They will have to communicate with the worksite Foreperson to schedule deliveries.

Must have the ability to follow directions. Position requires a valid driver's license and a good driving record to operate a motor vehicle. Adhere to all local vehicle regulations while driving.

- Drive a company vehicle to run shop errands or pick up parts, when necessary, in a timely manner

- Drive a company vehicle to deliver supplies or pick up supplies from our crews on the road

- Perform other duties as required to successfully meet the needs of the business

Requirements:

The successful candidate will be a Grade 12 graduate; preference will be given to those who also have experience and/or training. The ability to hold and maintain a valid Class 5 Drivers license or a class 3 Driver’s license with air brake endorsement would be an asset.

The successful candidate will have the following but not limited to skills and knowledge:

- Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers (both internal and external); this includes excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to anticipate and meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.

- Proficient computer skills - working knowledge of Internet browsers, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel including development and maintenance of basic spreadsheets and formulas, general computer knowledge, and aptitude for learning new applications.

- Solid organizational, analytic skills with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
