Driver (Non-CDL)

New York Metal Fabrication Company is seeking an experienced driver for deliveries in NY tristate area.

Job Responsibilities:

Safely operate a company truck making deliveries to commercial customers in the tri-state area.

Job Duties:

- Make deliveries and ensure that packing slips/delivery documents are signed legibly by receiver. Note deliveries times in and out on the manifest as well as issues

- Keep daily logs including equipment condition

- Ensure that truck documents including registration, insurance and inspection are in the vehicle and up to date

- Participate in the loading and unloading of trucks, verifying that all items/orders are documented on the manifest

- Report any delivery issues to dispatcher immediately

- Report any maintenance/breakdown issues to dispatcher immediately

- Report any accidents to the dispatcher immediately.

- · Adherence to company rules, safety program, standards and guidelines

*Must have qualifications

- Valid Driver’s License - 10+ Years Prior experience as a driver using 16 ft or greater box truck

- Driving in 5 Boro’s, Long Island, New Jersey

- Lifts 50 lbs.

- Speaks, reads, & writes English

*Does not have to know it all, CDL not required, experience with driving flat bed, bus or trailer not required.

Full Time Permanent Position

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
