Delivery Driver / Shop Help

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong driving skills, the ability to handle heavy lifting, and experience with warehouse operations. The Delivery Driver will ensure timely and safe delivery of products while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Duties

- Safely operate a flat bed truck or other delivery vehicles to transport goods.

- Load and unload items efficiently, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.

- Follow designated routes for deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations.

- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns.

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and delivery confirmations.

- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization.

- Utilize equipment such as forklifts for loading and unloading tasks.

- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety compliance.

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.

- Experience in warehouse operations is a plus.

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is advantageous.

- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles if required.

- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks (up to 50 pounds).

- Familiarity with route driving and navigating local areas efficiently.

- Previous experience using forklifts and pallet jacks is beneficial.

- A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
