The Database Administrator/Data Engineer II will design, implement, and support backend database systems and critical applications. The role will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance, and support both internal users and business-critical systems.
- Database Management
- Install, configure, and maintain relational (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases.
- Monitor, tune, and optimize database performance; manage and automate backups.
- Cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS)
- Data Integrity & Security
- Ensure data integrity during migrations, updates, and access control.
- Apply patches, update, and manage user permissions.
- Documentation & Process
- Maintain clear technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Adhere to ITIL or related operational frameworks.
- Collaboration & Growth
- Partner with IT teams on projects; assist in application rollouts and infrastructure upgrades.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field—or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 4-8 years in direct database administration/data engineering.
- Experience with SQL-based systems
- Knowledge of virtualization, scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS/Azure), or DevOps tooling is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience building Power BI solutions (models, DAX, refresh strategies) and production pipelines.
- Experience with AI principles is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving aptitude, and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Commitment to data security and integrity in all tasks.
Physical Demands:

Working Environment:
Works in office environment and rarely site environment. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
