About the Role

We’re seeking a Data Specialist to provide hands-on support for internal projects, report generation, and general operational support. This role will primarily assist RateAcuity leadership with project support and internal reporting needs, while also stepping in during peak times to support basic RateAcuity tasks.

The role involves a balance of recurring weekly tasks and ad hoc requests, so adaptability and good prioritization are key. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and proactive. Someone who can learn quickly, takes initiative, and thrives in a collaborative office environment is a must.

What You’ll Do

1. Project Support (Primary Duties)

- Collect, organize, and validate data needed to answer customer questions

- Research to support customer requests for additional data products

- Maintain digital records and documentation for active and completed projects

- Create reports and other tools to assist leadership ensure quality and efficiency of processes

2. Administrative & Reporting Support (Weekly/Occasional Duties)

- Prepare, format, and maintain recurring internal reports

- Provide backup administrative assistance including scheduling, file management, and document preparation

- Coordinate communications or meeting materials for leadership as needed

- Track internal project milestones and coordinate follow-up with team members

3. RateAcuity Proofing (As Needed)

- Cross-train in RateAcuity’s data proofing process

- Flag discrepancies and support data quality initiatives during high-volume periods

What You’ll Bring

- Bachelor’s degree preferred, coursework in business administration and management information systems a plus

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially when handling data or written materials

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of Power BI

- Ability to learn new tools, processes, and technical systems quickly and independently

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills

- Clear communication and a collaborative mindset

- Comfortable working with a small, focused team

- 1–2 years of related administrative or project support experience preferred

What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)

- You’ve taken ownership of recurring internal reports and are consistently delivering accurate, well-formatted outputs on time.

- You’re fully trained in the RateAcuity proofing process and contributing effectively during high-volume periods.

- You’ve built strong working relationships with your supervisor and team, helping projects move smoothly and efficiently.

- You’ve suggested or implemented at least one small improvement to how reports or project tracking are managed.

- You’re viewed as dependable, detail-focused, and proactive.

- You have independently created data queries to answer customer questions.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
