What You Will Do:
As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play an essential role within our Information Technology, reporting to Director, IT. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
•Analyzing security incidents and monitoring for related events and incidents as appropriate;
•Participating in security investigations and compliance reviews, as required;
•Developing and validating baseline security configurations for operating systems, applications, networking, and telecommunications equipment;
•Conducting risk assessments for new technology to identify potential security vulnerabilities and developing mitigation strategies to address these risks;
•Contribute to the strategy development and to the planning to enforce security requirements and address identified risks; and
•Overseeing the vulnerability management process, as required.
What You Will Bring:
Required qualifications:
•Completion of a two-year post-secondary diploma specializing in computer engineering or cybersecurity.
•Minimum of three years’ related experience including:
•+ Working directly in the cybersecurity capacity;
+ Relating business needs to security controls;
+ Developing and documenting security architecture and plans, including strategic, tactical, and project plans; and
+ Detecting breaches by connecting seemingly unrelated cyber events.
Preferred skills and qualifications:
•Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP);
•Knowledge of common security management frameworks and standards such as: ISO 2700x, ITIL, COBIT, and NIST;
•Knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts, end-point protection, and hybrid cloud architectures; and
•Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and the associated network protocols and concepts.
