The Associate IT Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for providing monitoring and supporting the Dolese cyber security platform. This position will consult with users on support issues and work with fellow team members to analyze systems and processes, apply security practices, and implement solutions in support of the business.
- Assess our cyber security risk using industry standards and communication with our different technology teams to access security vulnerabilities.
- Gather data from multiple sources, perform analytical assessments, interpret results, and recommend possible solutions to reported issues, partner with more senior IT Analysts on moderately complex issues
- Effectively communicate new issues and resolutions to team members and fully document steps to resolve them
- Define business and technical requirements based on business problems
- Learn how threat hunting, data security analysis and correlation of events assist in detection, prevention, and removal of known or unknown threats.
- Interact with world class Security threat monitoring solution to gain skills and knowledge for troubleshooting security events.
- Help identify areas of improvement and conceptualize methods on how to be more efficient
- Assist with training others inside and outside the department on new solutions as necessary
- Participate in new projects and application implementations as needed
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field preferred
- Some experience supporting business applications in an IT or operational role required
- Experience with security practices and procedures preferred
- Strong understanding of core cyber security frameworks and threat detection techniques
- Must possess a strong desire to learn new technologies and systems
- General knowledge of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems
- Basic troubleshooting skills required
- Microsoft SQL skills preferred
- Good attention to detail and works well under pressure
- Effective time-management skills
- Ability to track, manage, and ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Must possess good analytical and problem-solving skills
- High organizational skills and prioritization of tasks required
- Ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Ability to travel to various field locations for work purposes
- Willingness to work early mornings, nights, and weekends as needed
- Lift, push, or pull objects of various dimensions up to 30 lbs. of weight occasionally
- Ability to perform 80% sedentary work and tolerate prolonged standing/sitting/walking
- Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel
- Ability to verbally communicate, hear, and see
