Ensure jobs are prioritized according to customer needs to help company attain 100% on time delivery performance. Respond to customer requests for order status in a timely manner.
III. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (essential and other functions):
1. Maintain high level of customer service by responding to customer requests for order status in a timely manner.
2. Report job status updates to appropriate person, including customers.
3. Make changes to customer orders upon request, when schedules will allow.
4. Work with outside vendors to get quick turn around on jobs.
6. Review customer PO delivery date using MRP reports and forward to order processing in a timely manner.
7. Check material on order for current jobs: call purchasing for past due material.
8. Expedite customer delivery priorities and production schedule priorities.
9. Works cooperatively with production supervisors (ie: helps find job cards, etc.) and other departments as needed.
11.Other duties as needed to help ensure a smooth flow of scheduling.
Minimum one-year experience in production work, to include expediting, scheduling, and customer service in a job shop environment strongly preferred.
Excellent prioritizing, time management, and project management skills.
Effective communication skills with internal and external customers.
Willing to do whatever needs to be done to help meet production goals.
Able and willing to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
