Position Summary
Power TakeOff is seeking a Customer Outreach Specialist I to proactively engage with a wide range of business, institutional, and commercial customers who have identified prospective energy savings opportunities.
Join Power TakeOff's innovative Virtual Commissioning® (VCx®) Program as a Customer Outreach Specialist. Through email and phone calls, you will reach out to numerous prospective customers, establishing contact and scheduling virtual meetings between the customer and a Power TakeOff Energy Advisor, who will further assist the customers to implement energy savings opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in in-depth training on outreach competencies and energy efficiency basics
- Conduct cold outreach to build a viable sales pipelines
- Participate in contact findings and re-prospecting to maintain a robust pipeline
- Build positive relationships with customers, adapting to their approach and needs
- Partner with internal teams to support one another’s success and customer satisfaction
- Leverage a strong work ethic to be patient, stay motivated and overcome barriers
- Consistently utilize professional and persuasive communication
- The Ideal Candidate is someone with a customer engagement background, motivated by impact, and looking to get their foot in the door to the sustainability and energy efficiency industry! Additionally, the most successful team members are:
- Engagement Motivated and enjoy spending time making new connections with customers
- Organized through reliable and consistent organization and time management practices
- Higher education degree
- 1+ year of professional experience in a customer service representative (CSR) or similar role with cold outreach responsibilities preferred- Motivation to engage with with prospective customers via cold calls, emails and meetings
- Ability to identify and address real or perceived barriers and articulate benefits to customers to promote their participation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a remote team environment, offering support and willingness to receive and provide feedback to achieve shared goals
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues
- Consistently positive and professional communications, even under pressure
- Effective sales skills and motivation to achieve goals
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Ability to use and learn customer relationship management (CRM) systems (e.g. Salesforce, Outreach.io) and other software tools to effectively organize and manage a customer engagement pipeline and support tracking and reporting
- Excellent organization, record-keeping and time management skills
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
Location and Travel
Power TakeOff is a 100% virtual company with no physical office location. However, many employees are based in two hubs in the areas around Denver, CO and Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. Residence in one of these two hubs is desired but not required, and relocation assistance will not be provided for the position. This position is eligible for employment in either the United States or Canada.
Travel is not expected for this position. Power TakeOff will cover the associated accommodation and travel expenses for any company travel.
Compensation And Benefits
The total expected salary compensation for employees residing in the U.S. is $40,000 USD per year. This position is also eligible for a performance-based bonus plan.
