We are seeking a Culture of Innovation Project Manager to lead initiatives that foster innovation mindsets and behaviors across the organization. This role supports strategic transformation efforts by enabling employees to contribute ideas, experiment with solutions, and continuously improve how we work and operate. The position reports to the Director of Digital Transformation and focuses on driving internal engagement that promotes creativity, collaboration, and a scalable test-and-learn environment.
Design and implement programs that promote an innovation culture, such as idea campaigns, internal challenges, and an Innovation Champion Network.
Manage the intake, evaluation, and development of employee-submitted ideas. Connect staff with tools, mentors, and resources to advance innovation initiatives.
Deliver training sessions and workshops on human-centered design, lean experimentation, and creative problem-solving techniques.
Partner with HR, DEI, Talent Development, Communications, and various business units to embed innovation practices into onboarding, engagement, and performance management programs.
Establish and monitor key metrics related to innovation participation and outcomes. Provide regular reporting and share success stories internally.
Align cultural innovation initiatives with broader strategic and digital transformation goals. Contribute to planning, capability-building, and innovation maturity assessments.
- In-depth knowledge of innovation methodologies such as design thinking, lean startup, and agile.
- Strong understanding of cultural change, employee engagement, and adult learning theory.
- Proven ability to design and facilitate effective workshops and group training sessions.
- Experience managing programs from planning through execution and evaluation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of simplifying complex concepts for diverse audiences.
- Comfortable using metrics and analytics to measure impact and guide continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Business, Innovation, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- At least 7 years of experience in innovation, change management, organizational development, or similar roles.
- Experience leading internal innovation or employee engagement programs.
- Strong facilitation and program management experience within complex or regulated environments.
- Previous experience in the public sector or energy/utilities industry is a plus.
