Crew Electrician (FSR) Permanent, Full-time On-site – Vancouver, BC $45–$55 per hour

Shift Energy Group is hiring a Crew Electrician (FSR) to lead field installations and help raise the bar for quality and efficiency in our Vancouver operations. This role is designed for an experienced, licensed electrician who’s ready to step into a leadership track — someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their work, and knows how to guide a team from job start to closeout.

About the Role

As a Crew Electrician, you’ll be responsible for the hands-on installation of solar PV systems, electrical interconnections, and equipment commissioning. But more than that, you’ll be managing small crews, coordinating with project managers, and ensuring our work meets top-tier standards — every time.

You’ll be a go-to person for the Vancouver region — someone the team can depend on to keep projects running smoothly, solve problems on-site, and maintain clear communication with both customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

•

Lead on-site installations of solar PV systems and energy storage equipment

•

Manage day-to-day jobsite operations and coordinate with the Field Manager

•

Pull electrical permits and ensure compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code and local regulations

•

Supervise and mentor apprentices and installers

•

Perform commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of solar systems

•

Be a frontline communicator with homeowners, businesses, and other trades

•

Represent Shift’s values in the field: professionalism, quality, and teamwork

What We’re Looking For

•

Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician with several years of field experience; residential experience preferred.

•

Valid FSR Certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days)

•

Experience leading crews and managing electrical scopes of work independently

•

Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and jobsite safety practices

•

Confident communicator — written and verbal — with an ability to delegate and coordinate effectively

•

Self-motivated, solutions-focused, and accountable

•

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean driving record

Working Conditions Include:

•

Outdoor Field work occurs in diverse weather conditions and normal hazards associated with construction sites.

•

Climbing, working at heights, and/or working within confined spaces.

•

The ability to safely handle tools and materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, and other similar electrical equipment, lumber, roofing materials, etc.

•

Performing repetitious duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.

Hours: 40 hours/week, with flexibility depending on project needs

•

Occasional travel across the Lower Mainland and out-of-town work may be required
