Job Overview: Responsible for protecting the company’s assets by investigating and assessing the ‘creditworthiness’ of potential customers and facilitating the collection of monies owed to the company. You will be tasked with performing credit reviews of existing customers, creating/reviewing credit scoring models, analyzing credit lines, and staying up-to-date with the company’s credit policy.
Additionally, you may be asked to assist in facilitating relations with credit reporting agencies, and/or the sales department (when applicable). Other tasks may include working on customer credit files, monitoring credit-granting, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
· Analyze and prepare reports regarding customers and their credit histories.
· Establish confirmation processes for established credit agreements.
· Maintain all customer credit files, including collection information entry into company databases.
· Manage relations with credit reporting agencies, the dispatch team, and the sales department (as it pertains to prospect development tools).
· Maintain corporate credit policy and/or recommend changes (when applicable) to the executive team.
· Monitor the credit-granting process by establishing periodic credit reviews to ensure up-to-date processing procedures.
· Collaborates with customers to establish resolution on delinquent invoices/discrepancies and handle customer issues and complaints.
· Monitor resources that supply past credit histories for trade purposes.
· Process credit applications/modifications and perform corrections to invoices as needed.
· Contact customers for past due balance on ‘accounts in the arrears’ via telephone and email.
· Assist the sales team with any issues as needed.
· Time management and ability to prioritize tasks
· Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
· Working knowledge of general office equipment and software (i.e., Microsoft Word and Gmail)
