Crane Technician/Diesel Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Boom Crane and Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of heavy equipment and vehicles. This role requires mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. The Diesel Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our fleet and equipment.

Duties

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including but not limited to inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.

- Work on various types of heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, and farm machinery.

- Conduct repairs on transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and alignment.

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks.

- Read and interpret schematics to diagnose electrical issues in vehicles.

- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.

- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.

- Ensure compliance with safety standards while operating heavy equipment.

- Assist in the assembly and repair of industrial equipment as needed.

- Most have experance with Grove, Terex and Linkbelt Crane

- 50% shop work 50% mobile field work

- Most work in all weather conditons

Skills

- Dealership experience is preferred but not required.

- Proficient in automotive diagnostics with mechanical knowledge of diesel engines.

- Experience with vehicle maintenance including brake repair, tire service, and HVAC systems.

- Familiarity with OEM parts and specifications for various equipment types.

- Strong understanding of electrical systems and experience with soldering is a plus.

- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and effectively.

- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.

- Capability to lift heavy objects as required during repairs (heavy lifting).

- Previous mechanic or service technician experience is highly desirable. Join us as we strive for excellence in diesel technology!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
