MSALABS is an experienced global provider of geochemical laboratory services to the exploration and mining industries in Canada, the USA and around the world. We have a rapidly growing network of laboratories in key mining regions around the world to limit lead times and transit costs and we employ the latest hi-tech analysis equipment.
We use a state of the art measurement tool, Chyrsos Photon Assay (CPA) to measure gold and other mineral samples in a sustainable and economically responsible manner.
We are looking for a dedicated and detail orientated self-starter who has the following skills and experience:
- Receive and enter sample information into our computer systems.
- Scan and record results of samples placed into our equipment.
- Prepare samples for measurement and move as required during process.
- Weighing and data entry of samples to ensure accuracy and volume monitoring.
- Follow HSE protocols and ensure proper housekeeping.
- Inform Radiation Safety Officer of any instrument related safety concerns.
- Report any deviation from documented procedures to Lab Manager.
- Perform daily quality checks on scale balance verification, room temperature verification, and documenting findings in logbooks.
- Sound numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to work effectively either as an individual or member of a team and relate effectively with staff on all levels.
- Proven ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to quickly learn new information, processes and procedures.
- Experience or exposure to nuclear or x-ray technology a bonus.
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite, Word & Excel
- High School education is a pre-requisite.
- Previous experience in mining companies preferred, but not essential.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Some physical lifting, up to 50 pounds, is required.
