The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all 2-way, dispatch and communication equipment on site.

- Carry out maintenance activities assigned by the Site Services Supervisor in accordance with safe work procedures and workshop standards.

- Identify and resolve issues associated with breakdown/corrective maintenance in a timely manner.

- Complete all services and other job-related paperwork to a high standard.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Experience in troubleshooting, installation and repair of vhf, uhf radio systems, wireless networking systems to component level preferred

- Familiarity with basic network concepts (TCP/IP, Subnets, IP) preferred

- Mechanical or electrical trades experience in a mining or manufacturing environment preferred

- Proven organizational and computer skills preferred

- Electronics background preferred

- Must be a self-starter with ability to follow direction required

- Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment required

- Good communications skills required

- Proven safe work record required
