We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Corrosion Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will assist in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of corrosion control systems to ensure optimal performance of pipelines, storage tanks, and other related infrastructure. The position location is project based and requires 80% travel.
- Assist senior technicians in conducting field inspections and assessments of cathodic protection systems.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain corrosion control systems under supervision.
- Perform data collection and testing, including soil resistivity, pipe-to-soil potential, and current measurements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for corrosion protection.
- Assist in preparing reports and documentation related to corrosion assessments and maintenance.
- Support project teams in executing corrosion mitigation strategies.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while working in the field or at project sites.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge in corrosion control.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or coursework in corrosion control, electrical systems, or related fields is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work in various outdoor environments, often in challenging conditions.
- Basic knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring, and troubleshooting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work under supervision.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to job sites as needed.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Minimum AMPP (NACE) Cathodic Protection Tester (CP-1) Certificate.
