What our work looks like

Noralta Technologies continuously pursues opportunities to grow our client base. We are seeking a Control Room Operator who would be tasked with the following additional duties / responsibilities in support of both expanding and assisting Noralta’s US based customers.

Responsibilities:

- Continual communication with our technical staff and clients located in the field, providing major facility and single well monitoring for the client sites that Noralta monitors.

- Out-bound calls to all clients – notification of issues, trouble shooting on service, etc. (can involve after-hours call outs).

- Analyzing video surveillance cameras for problems on sites

- Alarm Management, response to and providing solutions to the client.

- Technical help and troubleshooting using a calm, multi-tasking approach.

- Focus on improving techniques and efficiencies with implementation of technology.

- Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Exceptional communication skills (both written and oral) in English, this skill is a must have.

- Diploma from a Technical Institution, preferably in a Petroleum-related field allowing an understanding of the technology and sites being monitored.

- 3-5 years of upstream oil and gas field operations experience

- Previous oilfield operating experience as well as SCADA experience would be considered assets.

- Computer hardware/software competency, including Microsoft Office Suite

- Network, programming, database administration, and another technological knowledge would be considered an asset.

- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.

- Reliable, positive, and self-motivated, displaying strong customer service aptitude.

Additional details

- This is an intermediate to senior level position with a starting wage commensurate with experience.

- Benefits program includes medical, dental, life Insurance, accidental death and disability, short- and long-term disability coverage.

- This position works a flexible shift schedule.

- Providing shift coverage as required for the 7 days on / 7 days off schedule, 12 hours per day and night shift.

- Potential to move to the 7 days on / 7 days off rotation schedule, upon the successful completion of the 90-day probationary training period.

- This position is near Spring, TX. Applicants will be responsible for their own transportation to the Control Center.
