Our Downstream Supply Chain Management team is currently seeking a dynamic individual to support the Sales & Marketing portfolio. In this role you will lead the contracting activities that support the full lifecycle of our retail and wholesale gas station network – from design and build, through maintenance and into remediation. If you're passionate about driving value, building strong partnerships, and navigating complex commercial landscapes where your contribution will directly support the success of our Sales & Marketing portfolio – this could be the role for you!
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or equivalent
- 8 years of relevant experience in commercial and/or technical roles
- Experience in contracts management, category management, strategic sourcing, and/or supply chain operations focused on Retail or Oil & Gas
- Strong financial and business acumen and commercial capabilities with a results-driven mindset
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the sufficiency to adapt to different audiences
- Effective negotiation skills and the dexterity to lead complex commercial negotiations
- Develop Request for Proposal (RFP) packages, lead bid evaluations, negotiations, and contract formation
- Recommend commercial structures for contracts of varying complexity
- Oversee contract implementation and rollout to stakeholders
- Lead negotiations for material and service contract requirements including General Terms & Conditions
- Determine contracting requirements to drive value, eliminate cost from the value chain, and motivate strong supplier performance
- Manage contract change processes and ensure performance issues are addressed
- Ensure commercial and business requirements are met
- You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
- Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
