Armstrong is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the development of intelligent system solutions for our product lines. This role involves designing electrical systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams including engineering, product development, implementation, and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and the ability to contribute to the design and execution of reliable, efficient, and cost-effective electrical solutions that meet defined product requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems, components, and control panels for various products and system solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Perform testing and validation of electrical systems and components to ensure performance, safety, and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues as they arise.
- Manage electrical aspects of projects from concept to completion, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing teams.
- Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, and test plans.
- Ensure all electrical designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations (e.g., NEC, UL, CE), and company quality requirements.
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines, product development teams, and external vendors to integrate electrical systems with broader product designs.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts, recommending innovative solutions to enhance product performance and reliability.
- Supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, and products.
- Willingness to learn or train in the position.
- Must have the physical and mental stamina to stand, walk, lift, and adjust to the noise and lighting of the manufacturing environment.

- Proficiency in electrical power panel and control panel design according to UL, NEC and CSA standard
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) and simulation tools.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces), and industrial communication protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD or other computer-aided design software.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
