Overseeing the execution of solar repower construction activities
The position is responsible for overseeing the execution of solar repower construction activities, coordinating QA/QC activities, and communicate project conditions. This role ensures that all contracted work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and company policies. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
-Work closely with site management, Nextera support teams, contractors, and engineers to ensure timely execution of outage tasks.
-Review work scopes, technical drawings, and schedules to ensure alignment with project requirements.
-Supervise contractors performing mechanical, electrical, and structural work on power plant equipment, including solar panel modules, tracker modules, panel racking, and wire management
-Maintain clear and accurate records of work completed, delays, and any modifications made during the project.
• Coordinator must have experience with activities associated with solar construction and commissioning
Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or trade certification preferred.
Relevant Experience: 6 - 15 years of experience in years of experience in solar construction and commissioning projects. At least 5 years in a supervisory or leader role in a renewable plant environment. Excellent leadership and team management abilities, Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) are a PLUS.
