Job Title: WEEKEND Shift Skilled Laborer – Fabricator- Metal Modular Building Assembly

Weekend -12-hour Shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: 6:00AM-6:30PM. (30 min unpaid lunch). (Work 36-paid - 40 hours!) Will be required to train Monday-Thursday 6:00AM-4:30PM then move to weekend 12 hour shift once fully trained on all job duties.

Salary: Hourly Rate: $20-25 - Background check and Drug test Required

WHP Trainingtowers is the industry leader in providing top tier fire training structures to communities across the nation and around the world. WHP Trainingtowers fabrication shop is located in Grandview, MO. We are seeking an experienced Weekend Shift Laborer for Metal Modular Building Assembly to join our fabrication assembly team to build modular steel buildings.

As a laborer, you will be responsible for performing hands-on tasks in the assembly and fabrication of modular steel buildings. You will focus on ensuring that all components meet specifications and quality standards. The role requires technical proficiency in fabrication processes, an understanding of safety practices, and experience with metal building construction.

Job Requirements and Responsibilities:

· Minimum three years related commercial Construction steel experience required.

· Metal Fabrication/Steel Assembly Experience: Perform hands-on fabrication and assembly of modular steel buildings, ensuring all components meet project specifications and quality standards.

· Strong Understanding of Safety Standards and Construction Practices: Follow OSHA standards, safety protocols and practices to maintain a safe working environment.

Skilled in the Use of Fabrication Tools and Heavy Machinery: Forklifts, Power tools, oxyfuel torch/ plasma cutter, Impacts, drills, saws, die grinders, grinders, etc.

•

Ability to Perform Physical Tasks: Safely lift and handle materials, often involving heavy lifting and working with overhead materials. Including lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds.

•

Quality Control: Ensure high-quality work through attention to detail and regular inspection of your own work.

•

Proficiency in Blueprint Reading and Layout Execution: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and layouts related to steel structures and modular buildings.

•

Problem Solving: Identify challenges in the assembly or fabrication process and take appropriate actions to resolve issues.

•

Excellent Communication Skills: Both written and verbal, to ensure proper communication with supervisors and colleagues.

•

High School Diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in construction, steel erection, or safety are a plus.

•

Documentation (Basic): Complete necessary daily reports to track progress and ensure the smooth flow of operations on a computer.

•

Other duties assigned.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Ability to work in a shop environment with varying temperatures, including outdoor work conditions.

•

Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds.

•

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods.

•

Ability to operate equipment and work with materials overhead.

•

Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights when required.
