Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Safety Manager to oversee and enhance safety protocols within our construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and minimizing risks on-site. This role requires a strong understanding of occupational health, risk management, and construction management practices.

Responsibilities

•

Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures.

•

Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols (Site Inspections include but are not limited to: equipment, rigging, PPE, excavation and trenching)

•

Function as a Competent Person on DOD facilities as needed.

•

Provide training to employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

•

Conduct weekly safety meetings with crew members.

•

Coordinate with project management to identify/ minimize potential risks on site.

•

Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.

•

Maintain records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports for compliance management purposes.

•

Build relationships with regulatory agencies and ensure all necessary permits are obtained for construction activities.

Qualifications

•

Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, risk management strategies, and compliance management practices.

•

Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and motivate staff on safety initiatives.

•

Certification in OSHA or other relevant safety programs is highly desirable.

•

Ability to build effective working relationships across various teams while promoting a culture of safety awareness.

•

Background in Utility Construction/ Trenchless Installations preferred
