Construction Project Manager - Renewables & Power Generation

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy and power generation projects. This role requires a skilled professional who can manage complex construction activities while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

- Lead and manage all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through commissioning for solar, wind, battery storage, or other renewable energy facilities

- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans

- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution

- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed to meet milestones and deliverables

Construction Oversight

- Oversee daily construction activities and ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and technical requirements

- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control assessments

- Manage the RFI, submittal, and change order processes

- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and industry standards

Team Leadership & Communication

- Lead and mentor project teams including site supervisors, engineers, and support staff

- Facilitate effective communication between all project stakeholders

- Conduct regular project meetings and prepare status reports for senior management and clients

- Resolve conflicts and address issues proactively to maintain project momentum

Financial & Contract Management

- Monitor project budgets and financial performance, tracking costs and identifying variances

- Review and approve contractor invoices and change orders

- Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions

- Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

- Minimum 5-7 years of construction project management experience, with at least 3 years in renewable energy or power generation projects

- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale construction projects ($20M+)

- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment specific to renewable energy installations

- Proficiency in project management software

- Excellent understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and risk management

- PMP, CCM, or equivalent professional certification preferred

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with solar PV, wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS), or substation construction

- Knowledge of electrical systems, interconnection requirements, and utility coordination

- Familiarity with permitting processes and environmental compliance for energy projects

- Experience working with EPC contractors and owner's engineer consultants
