The Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced Construction Project Coordinator with 5+ years in construction, project management, or inspection. This hybrid role supports scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and reporting, with occasional travel to project sites.

Job Summary

The Construction Project Coordinator will provide critical administrative and operational support to ensure construction projects are executed efficiently and effectively. This position will assist project leadership with scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, reporting, and other project-related activities. The role is primarily office-based, with occasional field support as needed. This role may be in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, with the ability to work remotely as approved. Some travel to other project sites may be required, depending on business needs and candidate location.

Key Responsibilities

- Draft submittals, RFIs, and project startup documentation

- Order parts and materials; track POs, deliveries, and lead times

- Track budgets and identify opportunities to reduce expenses

- Coordinate subcontractors and disseminate project information

- Maintain project calendars and ensure deadlines/meetings are met

- Write reports and maintain documentation

- Schedule and track maintenance program work

- Prepare assignments for teams and maintain regular filing and paperwork

- Support overall communication between project stakeholders

Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, project management, or inspection

- AMPP/NACE Coatings Inspector Program (CIP) Level I required; Level II or III strongly preferred

- Strong aptitude for computer work, including Microsoft Office Suite and project management software

- Excellent report writing skills with keen attention to detail

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Clear written and verbal communication

- Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities

- Data entry and reporting accuracy

- Basic math and budget tracking abilities

Office Setting:

- Regularly required to sit, type, and work on a computer for extended periods.

Field/Construction Site Setting (occasional):

- May occasionally be required to walk, stand, climb stairs or ladders, and navigate uneven terrain at project sites.

- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots, when visiting active construction areas.

- May occasionally lift or carry materials and equipment up to 25 pounds.

- Must be able to tolerate exposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, dust, and construction activity when visiting job sites.

General Requirements:

- Ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.

- Ability to travel occasionally between Rancho Cucamonga, Bakersfield, or other project sites as required.
