This is a full-time on-site role for a Mining Engineer, located in Mount Sterling, KY. The Mining Engineer will be responsible for conducting feasibility studies, developing mine plans, calculating mineral resources and reserves, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Assistance with exploration projects and field work may be expected. Day-to-day tasks will include project management, cost estimation, and collaborating with other engineering professionals. The engineer will also be required to communicate with clients and ensure standards are followed throughout their work.
- Knowledge of Mine Planning and Mine Design
- Experience in Project Management and Cost Estimation
- Proficiency in CAD Software and Mine Planning Software
- Proficiency in GIS Systems
- Familiarity with Regulatory Compliance and Safety Standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
- Experience in the mining industry is highly desirable
