Pay Rate: $46.00 - $52.00 per hour / $125.00 per day Per Diem / 50-55/hrs week

The primary functions of the
Construction Managerare to provide support and be the liaison between The Company operations team and the client. The CM will ensure clients’ daily, weekly, and monthly reports are completed and submitted, along with attending mandatory meetings with the client. The CM will work with 5 Star mangers and subcontractors to communicate progress and monitor project milestones. The CM will assist and/or manage on-site project purchasing requirements. The CM will also have some safety, QC reporting and compliance duties and will see that The Company stays in 100% compliance with Company and client reporting requirements. The CM will assist The Company management team with equipment and toolings needs, budgeting, and general logistics. CM will be required to participate in weekly calls with The Company management team to provide progress report and express concerns and updates. The position reports to the project management team and Operations Director for the project and may require travel and relocation from time-to-time
- Assist with the safety team to ensure all project activities are compliant with The Company’s safety plan and the client on-site requirements. As well as provide reporting and documentation assistance as needed.
- Ensure all personnel stays compliant with all safety and other site specific trainings.
- Continually monitor the safety performance of the group’s projects to ensure compliance with all Company safety policies and procedures. Take immediate corrective action, whenever necessary, so as to protect employees and Company safety performance goals and initiatives.
- Assist in Development of the Project Execution Plan and ensure it is implemented and properly executed.
- Participates and leads scheduling and planning activities to ensure construction activities and related is maintained and reported.
- Works with The Company’s PM & Operational manager (Team) to develop alternative plans to help the construction team overcome schedule constraints during execution.
- Works with the Team on project budget, productivity, and schedule. Understands the construction budget and provides updates to help ensure supervision understands and actively monitors budget.
- Works with the Team and equipment team to coordinate selection and with the procurement team to ensure quality and timely delivery of all material and equipment.
- Manage, Review and Submit all project related deliverables with accuracy and in a timely manner.
- Follow a “Best Practices” philosophy by being pro-active in making creative, timely and meaningful suggestions as to how best to perform the work so as to minimize cost and schedule deficiencies.
- Manages the client’s site team relationship during the project execution with the goals serving, trusting, and collaborating to ensure healthy working relations.
- Play a key role in promoting the importance of client satisfaction and its relationship to the Company’s reputation and its ability to obtain new and repeat business.
- Determine the proper type and use of Company-owned and rented equipment. Coordinate field repairs as necessary.
- The CM will host a weekly call with Managers to review the previous week’s site-specific safety and progress.
- Participate on weekly meetings to report to the Company management team on progress, updates, and express concerns or troubles encountered on-site.

- Demonstrated ability to be a team leader with strong interpersonal and site management skills is a must
- Proficient computer skills with a strong understanding of Microsoft Applications. (Excel, Word, PP, Projects)
- Excellent written (email) and verbal communication skills.
- A record of success in the management of large, complex and difficult construction projects in the Electrical/Utility industry is required, preferably substation/switchyard construction.
- A demonstrated knowledge of construction means/methods, finance, and management policies and procedures as well as the utilization of innovative and effective communication, interpersonal and leadership techniques in order to maximize employee and project efficiencies.
- Being able to multi-task and work in a schedule-driven environment a must.
- travel will be a prerequisite, as this is an on-site position
- High School diploma or GED
- A Two (2) or Four (4) year engineering or construction management related degree or equivalent is preferred
- Minimum of 5 Years experience in Utility Industry. (Substation Preferred)
- Previous project construction manager experience in related field is required
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver License is required.
- Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
