Summary
Coordinates and observes work for general conformance of contract documents. Coordinates and observes the work of construction contractors assigned to perform construction contract administration and oversight work at NYPA or Customer facilities. Ensures that quality workmanship is maintained at all times and in accordance with applicable construction procedures, methods, codes and specifications. Projects will include electrical, civil, mechanical, instrumentation & control engineering disciplines.
Provide direct oversight of contractors and onsite management of construction projects (for projects at NYPA sites only). A Construction Engineer may have background from one of the engineering disciplines.
This posting has a preference towards and is prioritizing candidates with electrical engineering backgrounds to best meet business needs. The New York Power Authority is committed to providing fair, competitive, and market-informed compensation. The estimated salary range for this position is: $90,000 - $123,200. The salary offered will be determined based on the successful candidates’ relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
