We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Construction Contracts Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and all aspects of construction contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements, and supporting the successful execution of construction projects.
Job Responsibilities:
•Review and analyze construction contracts to understand project scope, deliverables, timelines and contractual obligations.
•Prepare and maintain accurate contract documentation, including contract agreements, change orders and amendments.
•Collaborate with project managers, contractors and subcontractors to ensure understanding and adherence to contract terms and conditions.
•Facilitate the preparation and submission of contract-related documents, such as requests for proposals, bids and qualifications.
•Coordinate and monitor progress and compliance with contractual milestones, including tracking deliverables, approvals and deadlines.
•Assist in the resolution of contract disputes and claims by conducting research, preparing reports and providing supporting documentation.
•Maintain organized and up-to-date contract files, ensuring all necessary documents are properly filed and easily accessible.
•Monitor and communicate any changes or updates to contract terms, ensuring all parties are informed and aligned.
•Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments related to contracts.
•Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to construction contracts administration.
•Provide overall administrative support to the estimating team.
•Review invitations to bid and make Sr. Estimator aware of bid opportunity.
•Download plans, specifications and bid documents.
•Review and have a thorough understanding of bid documents to ensure bid requirements are met.
•Track bid date and monitor for addendum or changes to bid requirements.
•Work directly with surety and insurance agency to obtain and maintain certificates of insurance and any project bond requirements.
•Monitor and track certifications such as SBE, GDOT, Utility Contractors License to ensure compliance and no lapse in certification.
•Monitor and track prequalification with general contractors to ensure no lapse in prequalification.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business management, business administration, or a related field.
•Proven experience in construction contracts administration or a similar role.
•Strong understanding of construction contract language, terms, and conditions.
•Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
•Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and complete contract documentation.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
•Proficient in using contract management software and MS Office applications.
•Knowledge of construction industry regulations and practices.
•Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paces environment.
