- Maintain, repair, and operate gas compressors and engines in the field
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and start-up/shutdown procedures
- Troubleshoot performance issues and perform diagnostic testing (including computer-based tools where applicable)
- Keep accurate service records, operating logs, and required paperwork
- Assist with disassembly, transport, and reinstallation of equipment
- Replace filters, gaskets, and other components as needed
- Overhaul engines, compressors, and related components when required
- Work safely and follow company safety policies and procedures
- Interact professionally with clients, team members, and supervisors
- Travel to various job sites as needed; position requires working in all weather conditions
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in gas compression or a similar field-based mechanical role
- Ability to read and write in English and communicate effectively across teams
- Clean driving record and valid Class C driver’s license
- Basic computer literacy (e.g., Microsoft Office and service reporting tools)
- Ability to read gauges, record measurements, and follow operational procedures
- Familiarity with production equipment such as separators and dehydrators
- Working knowledge of power-driven pumps, starters, fuel systems, lubrication, cooling, ignition, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and ability to work independently
- Able to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing conditions
- Must maintain a dependable, safety-conscious, and professional demeanor
