Role Summary
The Air Compressor Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of air compressors and related compressed air system components. This technician plays a vital role in ensuring customer uptime by providing high-quality service in the field and supporting operational reliability at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
•Perform routine and emergency maintenance on air compressors and related equipment.
•Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and make necessary repairs.
•Conduct start-ups, installations, and system evaluations.
•Maintain accurate service records and complete detailed service reports.
•Ensure timely and professional communication with dispatch and customers.
•Maintain a clean and organized work area, including company vehicle and tools.
•Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including use of PPE.
•Identify and recommend system improvements or replacement parts to customers.
Qualifications
•2+ years of experience in mechanical/electrical repair, preferably with air compressors or HVAC systems.
•Strong understanding of compressed air systems and components (rotary screw, reciprocating, oil-free compressors, etc.).
•Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
•Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
•Ability to work independently in the field and troubleshoot under pressure.
•Strong communication and customer service skills.
•Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and handle physically demanding tasks.
