Community Engagement/Permitting Manager

With a growing portfolio of projects and a bold vision for a carbon-free future, we are seeking a passionate and strategic Community Engagement & Permitting Manager to join our team and lead outreach and entitlement efforts across New England.

Position Overview 

The Community Engagement & Permitting Manager will develop and advance the project pipeline to expedite permits and approvals. This person will act as a key liaison between Blue Sky Utility and local stakeholders—including elected officials, planning departments, regulatory agencies, landowners, and community members—across New England. This role is responsible for advancing Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), solar, and other renewable energy projects by managing stakeholder relationships, leading permitting and entitlement processes, and supporting business development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in community outreach, permitting, and local government relations within the renewable energy sector.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned to the manager. Organize stakeholder engagement events such as ribbon-cuttings and community meetings to build trust and partnership.
