Commodity Manager
ROLE:
Responsible for conducting purchasing activities to support sourcing, contract, and supplier management activities in line with departmental strategy and objectives. As a leader, provide technical guidance to the team for successful execution of programs. Lead the development of new products, processes, standards, or operational plans associated with raw materials and additives.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
•Develop and execute a comprehensive Business Plan associated with the procurement of corporate raw materials and additives.
•Determine and recommend derivative and hedge strategies appropriate to the risk and mitigation of raw materials.
•Lead business plan/tactics to reach overall global targets on a day-to-day basis (KPI’s).
•Lead the procurement team in developing commodity strategies and sourcing recommendations for specified commodity, considering specifics this also includes early Supplier Engagement and Strategic Sourcing.
•Engage supplier quality and development when applicable for technical verification and capability of supply base.
•Oversee, monitor, and coach employees in various locations and build effective procurement team strategies for raw materials and additives.
•Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Legal, Corp Dev and other internal partners to develop procurement strategies, clarify prerequisites and to drive cost reduction.
•Analyze and apply appropriate tools, i.e., cost models, benchmarking, global competitive sourcing, value chain analysis, supplier negotiations, engineering change cost containment, technical cost reduction, part/system reuse, etc.
•Responsible for managing the overall procurement activities, development of sourcing strategy, negotiation of contracts and execution of budget.
•Develop market analysis with risk identification and mitigation.
•Provide technical guidance to the team for successful execution of programs (engaging cross-functional team members).
•Lead on the development of new products, processes, standards, or operational plans to support corporate objectives.
•Support for the organization's business strategies with a direct impact on business and function overall results.
•Handle Supplier relationships and operational Issues.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
•7+ years of relevant experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Program Management.
•Demonstrated Negotiation, Vendor Management, Team Orientation, Informative Communication and Analytical Thinking Skills.
•Ability to travel 10-20% of the time domestically + internationally.
