Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and a comprehensive understanding of various construction processes. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are accurately assessed for costs, materials, and labor, contributing to the successful execution of our construction projects. The Estimator will work closely with project managers and clients to provide precise estimates that align with project specifications.

Responsibilities

•

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and overhead.

•

Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.

•

Collaborate with project managers to assess project requirements and ensure accurate estimations.

•

Conduct site visits to gather information on existing conditions and assess potential challenges.

•

Utilize knowledge of construction and roofing in the estimation process.

•

Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing information and negotiate terms.

•

Review bids from subcontractors for accuracy and completeness.

•

Provide recommendations for cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards.

•

Assist with new opportunities from past and existing clients.

Experience

•

Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.

•

Familiarity with construction site operations and processes is required.

•

Strong understanding of various construction methods including but not limited to commercial roofing, commercial gutter systems, code requirements per install, and finding foreseeable complications per application.

•

Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in assessing project requirements.

•

Proficient in using estimating software and tools relevant to the construction industry. (Stack, Acculynx, ProCore, Building Connected, SmartBid)

This position will have the ability to grow as needed, the next move from this position would be to management of a team of estimators. This is not an entry level position, and will not offer startup training. Experienced, Seasoned estimators need only apply.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $73,940.00 - $78,612.00 per year
