Summary

Looking for a second or third year electrical engineering student to join our team in the Substation Design department for a long term internship.

The student intern will work daily scheduled hours based on the department’s needs, with a minimum requirement of 15 hours and up to 29.5 hours per week maximum.

What You'll Do

•

Assist the department with various tasks such as:

•

Researching, processing and submitting electrical technical data reports.

•

Learning and development of standards, procedures and drawings.

•

General shadowing & assisting engineers by taking on small electrical design projects or assignments on their own.

•

Assist with other duties or assignments as needed.

Experience

•

Be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

•

Must be a full-time college student, enrolled in at least 12 credit hours, in an accredited University or Community College and maintain a good academic standing.

•

Have a high level of interpersonal skills.

•

Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.

•

Possess functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

•

Be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Education

College level coursework (100+) from an accredited institution will be evaluated on an individual basis according to the skill/level to determine if applicable to the position by management.

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
