About Us:
Airbuild is reimagining how cities handle water, waste, and carbon. We design self-powered infrastructure that treat wastewater, sequester carbon, and convert waste into valuable biochar.
The Role:
We’re looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to help us prototype, test, and optimize the core systems inside our infrastructure. You’ll work directly with our engineering team on real-world problems involving energy systems, sensor integration, and sustainable design.
What You’ll Do:
•Support the integration of solar-powered systems
•Assist with wiring diagrams, PCB layout, and component selection
•Help integrate sensors, microcontrollers, and power management circuits
•Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and iteration of live prototypes
•Collaborate with mechanical and IoT engineers on cross-functional projects
What We’re Looking For:
•Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (or similar)
•Familiar with circuit design, Arduino/Raspberry Pi, or similar microcontroller platforms
•Basic understanding of solar power, batteries, and power regulation
•Enthusiastic about sustainability, climate tech, or hardware innovation
•Self-starter mindset and willingness to learn fast
Bonus Points:
•Experience with IoT systems
•Knowledge of water treatment, environmental monitoring, or energy harvesting
•Knowledge of power systems/ power electronics.
