Co-op Student - IT Enterprise Architecture - Fall September 2025

Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Hybrid

Annual salary: 1,792.24 - $2,257.45 biweekly

What you'll do

Candidate selection, interviews and hiring will take place continuously - this means while there is a closing date listed, hiring

The location for this position is our Downtown Dunsmuir Location.

•

We are looking for team-oriented, 3rd or 4th year Co-op students who demonstrates strong communications,

interpersonal, organized and problem-solving skills.

•

Working with IT Enterprise Architecture (EA) team will include:

•

Gaining knowledge and experience with various IT enterprise architecture domains (eg, Business, Infrastructure, IT/OT

Cybersecurity, Data Analytics etc)

•

Having the opportunity to experience what EA team does and responsible for from enterprise strategy, roadmap and

governance.

•

Provide administrative and coordination support for the EA team. Governance meetings planning and minutes taking.

•

Exposure to various architecture and task management platforms/tools (LeanIX, JIRA)

•

Assist with creating and updating of strategy presentation materials

•

Tasks will be assigned based on the needs of the department and strengths of the student.

What you bring

•

To qualify as a candidate, individual's must be enrolled in the Co-op Program and have yet to graduate from a recognized

post-secondary institution in Canada.

•

3rd of 4th year students studying computer science; with previous work experience are preferred.

•

Strong interpersonal and communication (both English written and oral) skills and the ability to work efficiently,

independently and in a team environment.

•

Strong analytical skills, combined with good judgement and ability to learn quickly.

•

Strong in listening, planning, coordination and communication in professional manner

•

Have experience using Microsoft M365 tools (eg, Outlook, Onenote, Teams, Word, Sharepoint)

•

Experience with task management tools like JIRA would be an asset.

•

Proficient and experience with producing professional presentation materials using MS Powerpoint, Excel, Visio etc.

What we offer

As a condition of employment at BC Hydro, a background check clearance will be required.

This position is for a four month work term with a potential to extend for one additional term.

•

Students are expected to work at the job location for their co-op role and it is the student’s responsibility to relocate

themselves if necessary.
