CNC Press Brake Operator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating press brake machines to bend sheet metal with precision and efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machinery, fabrication processes, and quality standards to ensure the production of high-quality components. Candidates with experience in CNC laser cutting, CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will excel in this position. Responsibilities

- Set up and operate CNC press brake machines to produce bent sheet metal components according to specifications.

- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine tooling requirements and machine settings.

- Program CNC press brakes using AccurPress Accell-E software to ensure accurate bending operations.

- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify conformance to quality standards.

- Adjust machine parameters as needed for different jobs, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

- Collaborate with fabrication teams on tooling selection, setup procedures, and process improvements.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols related to machinery operation and material handling.

Experience

- Proven experience operating CNC press brake machines in a manufacturing environment (AccurPress Preferred)

- Strong mechanical knowledge related to sheet metal fabrication and tooling setup.

- Ability to read blueprints accurately and utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges for quality inspection.

- Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions and machine adjustments.

- Experience with crane operation or forklift handling is a plus but not mandatory. This position offers an opportunity for growth within a dynamic manufacturing environment where technical skills are valued and developed through ongoing training and hands-on experience.
