- Develop and write CNC programs for Lathe machines based on engineering blueprints and specifications.
- Set up and operate CNC Lathe to produce precision parts.
- Collaborate with machinists to optimize machining processes.
- Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC programs, machines, or tooling.
- Maintain accurate documentation of CNC programs, tooling, and machine settings.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- You would be the head of the Lathe department.
- Must be able to keep track of jobs and you would be disbursing jobs to 2 Lathe operators.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as Mastercam, for creating and modifying part designs.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Experience programming and operating CNC Lathes, preferably with HAAS controls.
- Familiarity with various machining processes, tooling, and materials.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Note: This is a non aircraft work shop, mainly low production Prototype parts.
