Position Summary

Must have manual transmission endorsement

Tanker endorsement preferred

Dump Truck Drivers are responsible for transporting rock, dirt, construction supplies and material to and from various locations. They drive manual trucks equipped with open beds.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

•

Perform daily truck equipment inspections per FMCSA guidelines to assure equipment is safe for usage.

•

Completes written daily inspection reports as required. Submits requests for maintenance for any repair items.

•

Maintains truck logs or time recordings, as required by state, federal, and company policies and regulations.

•

Drive a manual CDL class vehicle in a safe and professional manner.

•

Responsible for transporting dirt, rock, and other materials to and from job sites, pits, and plants.

•

May oil, grease, service, and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.

•

Frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands. Occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders.

•

Must occasionally lift and/or move from 10 to 50 lbs.

•

Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees; be a part of the team.

Education / Experience

•

Must possess a Class A or B CDL Florida Driver’s License for at least 3 years.

•

Must pass DOT physical and drug screen.

•

MVR must meet company and DOT standards.

•

Must maintain current driver’s license that meets state requirements, i.e., CDL, Class A and/or B

•

Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures.

•

Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.

•

Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

Desired Skills:

•

One year or more experience operating a Dump Truck.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
