Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently using various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers and refrigerated trailers. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to regulations, and excellent driving skills, including the ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.

Duties

•

Drive and operate commercial vehicles, including tanker trucks and refrigerated trailers, to deliver goods to designated locations.

•

Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring that all cargo is secured properly for transport.

•

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

•

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and vehicle maintenance.

•

Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.

•

Operate forklifts when necessary for loading and unloading freight.

•

Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.

Qualifications

•

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for tanker and refrigerated trailer operation.

•

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within the trucking industry.

•

Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently.

•

Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.

•

Excellent driving record with no major violations in the past few years.

•

Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) as required during loading and unloading processes.

•

Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

•

Familiarity with using electronic logging devices (ELDs) for tracking hours of service is preferred.
