Green Development, LLC the leading renewable energy company located in Cranston, Rhode Island is looking for a CDL Class A Truck Driver work transporting material and equipment to and from our jobs. Other duties include inspecting vehicles for mechanical issues relating to safe operation, and basic repair work. Reporting potential issues to immediate supervisor.
Hours of Work: Normal schedule is Monday – Friday 7:30am to 3:30pm; overtime and weekend work as required. The normal schedule may be subject to change as needed.
- Transport heavy overweight equipment, materials & Class A level loads with permits
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Document and log work.
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Immediate reporting defects, accidents, or violations
- Other duties as assigned
- Follow all safety guidelines in the operating, maintaining of equipment
- The ability to determine and use appropriate equipment and materials required to do work.
- Proven work experience as a truck driver
- Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- A clean driving record
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc)
- Valid truck driving license Class A CDL or commercial driver license
- Must pass drug and alcohol test
- Must provide current MVR
- Must provide a medical certificate
