Lee Electrical Construction, LLC, a Quanta Services Company is growing and looking to hire Lineman for overhead distribution work. Candidates must have linework experience to be considered.
What You’ll Do
•Perform all types of work involved in the installation, maintenance, operation, removal, rearrangement, and inspection of energized facilities.
•Overhead Distribution experience
•Comply with safety rules, operational regulations and practices and report unsafe conditions.
•Operate line switches, locate and repair faults, re-fuse line and transformer cutouts, change line and transformer taps, and phase out parallel circuits.
•Must be thoroughly familiar with electric distribution layouts, feeds and circuits, operations of sectionalizing equipment, regulators
•Work consists of all phases or rural line construction, patrolling of lines, clearing of right-of-way, hot line work with hot line tools, checking load balance and voltage and operating equipment in substations including switching of transmission and distribution feeds.
•Responsible for constructing and maintaining de-energized or energized distribution or transmission lines
•Make Energized cutovers from old poles and equipment to new or temporary installations of a similar nature.
•Direct the work of others assigned to work with him/her, and train employees of lower grade. Assist employees of equal or higher classification.
•A thorough understanding of line construction, engineering standards, safe work practices and procedures, system mapping and operation is required.
Your Strengths
We have a few requirements for joining our team:
•Must have and maintain a valid Class A CDL or obtain within 90 days of hire
•Must be trainable in CPR and First Aid.
•Must have physical strength and stamina to perform duties required to lift heavy objects, assist in construction, climbing and digging and operate in various weather conditions.
•Must complete in-person Safety Training, Department of Transportation (DOT) background check/DOT drug screen

Essential Job Functions
•Troubleshoots lines and equipment.
•Sets and removes poles, installs and removes cross-arms and pins, place and remove electrical conductors, places and removes transformers and any other maintenance duties on energized lines/or de-energized lines.
•Performs all maintenance duties of a Groundman to a Class B Lineman.
•Tests and operates overhead electrical distribution, transmission and substation equipment without direct supervision.
•Performs services and meter installations.
•Substitutes as Foreman/or Lead Lineman in the absence of the active Foreman and Lead Lineman upon approval of Superintendent.
•Communicates with the general public and property owners.
•Observes all safety rules while working on electrical equipment.
Qualifications
•Understand electrical terms used in line work.
•Valid drivers license and DOT card. Must have a safe driving record
•Ability to communicate clearly with crew.
•Linework experience required
