Chemical Operator - Industrial Cleaning Division - Pitbull Energy Services

Responsibilities:
•Operate, monitor, and control chemical production equipment, including tanks, pumps, valves, and control panels.
•Handle and transfer caustic (e.g., sodium hydroxide) and acid materials (e.g., sulfuric, hydrochloric acid) following strict safety protocols.
•Perform routine checks and adjustments to maintain process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow rate.
•Collect and analyze samples to ensure product meets quality standards.
•Document process activities, maintenance issues, and batch information accurately.
•Wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including acid suits, face shields, gloves, and respirators.
•Follow and enforce all safety, environmental, and health regulations
•Participate in regular safety meetings, drills, and incident reviews.
•Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
Requirements:
•High school diploma or GED required, technical or associate degree in Process Technology or a related field preferred.
•Minimum 1–3 years of industrial experience, preferably in chemical manufacturing or a similar environment.
•Direct experience handling hazardous chemicals, especially caustics and acids, is highly preferred.
•Knowledge of chemical safety, proper storage, and spill response protocols.
•Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, SDSs (Safety Data Sheets), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
•Strong communication and teamwork skills.
•Willing and able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed
•Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot, noisy, or physically demanding conditions.
•Ability to wear full protective gear for extended periods, including respirators and acid suits.
•Comfortable working around strong chemicals in a controlled environment.
