Job Description:

Job Summary

The Cement Hand assists in various areas of cement operations including rig up and rig down, light maintenance duties, assisting operations on site, and miscellaneous clerical duties. Trained to perform the basic functions involving cement operations.

Responsibilities

- Assist in rig up, rig down, and other basic functions of cement operations on site

- Take basic inventory counts

- Ensure the yard is well maintained and kept clean

- Perform light maintenance duties involving basic hand tool usage

- Ensure company vehicles are clean and maintained

- Perform miscellaneous clerical duties

- Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required safety training, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Current valid driver’s license and a clean driving record preferred

- Must have reliable transportation, able to arrive at the yard on time for callouts

- Strong work ethic, reliable, and willing to uphold commitment to perform all duties

- Must be able to safely perform duties during 14 days on, 7 days off work schedule that will include days, nights, weekends, and holidays

- Must be physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout work shift

- Must be physically able to safely lift 25 lbs. above head and 50 lbs. without assistance (i.e., water hose, iron, swing hammer)

- Must have knowledge of safe hand tool use

- Must be physically able to sit or stand for long periods

- Must be able to perform duties in all weather conditions including extreme heat or cold
