Fuel Driver Class A-B Transportation Specialist – Full Time

The primary purpose of this position is to safely transport GOC petroleum products.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a truck driver with Class A or Class B and HAZMAT and tanker endorsements.
· This position involves driving a company vehicle and/or company insured vehicle. A valid commercial driver’s license (CDL- Class A- Class B), HazMat and Tanker Endorsements required, along with successful completion of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and annual/quarterly MVRs, according to company, Federal, State and Local guidelines.
· Maintain thorough knowledge of all services provided by Gaines Oil Company.
· Follow safe, defensive driving practices at all times, obey all traffic laws, regulations, signals, and markings, use a seat belt, and follow Company policies and procedures, including the Substance Abuse Policy. Never drive while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications that may impair your ability to operate a vehicle safely, report any accidents immediately and cooperate fully with insurance claims investigations.
· Maintain current and accurate records of deliveries.
· Load, unload, and transport products following GOC protocol and best practices. Safety is always foremost.
· Always perform pre- and post-DOT compliant inspections and report any issues you may find.
· Comply with all local, state, and federal laws in transporting petroleum products.
· Comply with all DOT and safety regulations.
· Must maintain all DOT credentials, including DOT medical card and TWIC card.
· Wear and maintain the cleanliness of assigned uniform, including assigned headset.
· This position requires the ability to wear a headset for communication.
· Immediately report to the Director of Transportation any accidents, speeding tickets or any other driving-related violation.
· Complete a full vehicle inspection at the beginning and end of each vehicle assignment/shift to include fuel level, cleanliness, and any physical damage to the vehicle.
· Flexibility in work hours, especially for roles involving shifts, weekends and overtime as required.
· Adherence to safety protocols and procedures is mandatory.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence, i.e. documented mileages, fuel amounts, etc. Strong communication skills and customer service orientation. Must speak fluent English.
The individual must be able to make independent decisions while considering variables in situations on a regular basis. The ability to make crucial operating decisions while multi-tasking is required for this position.
