- Operate iLR trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials and equipment
- Use your smartphone for:
- Clocking in/out for shifts
- Logging in/out of your truck
- Completing electronic driving logs (ELDs)
- Documenting daily tasks and deliveries
- Maintain accurate paperwork and follow DOT regulations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Safely operate a range of trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to transport freight across designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling of freight.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each journey.
- Manage route driving with precision, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations to guarantee timely deliveries.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit, especially when handling specialized freight such as refrigerated goods or hazardous materials.
- Maintain accurate documentation including delivery logs, load manifests, inspection reports, and compliance paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or any incidents encountered on the road.
- Follow all safety protocols related to commercial driving, including adherence to hours-of-service regulations and proper vehicle operation procedures.
- Valid CDL (Class A preferred)
- Tanker endorsement and Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Clean driving record
- Must pass drug testing (urinalysis and hair-follicle screening)
- Reliable, safety-minded, and responsible attitude
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or truck driver with a strong background in freight transportation.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle types operated (e.g., tanker, flatbed).
- Skilled in driving manual transmission trucks with confidence and precision.
- Experience operating various truck types such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, Tanks.
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using equipment like forklifts or manual methods when necessary.
- Knowledge of route planning and navigation for efficient delivery schedules.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight handling.
- Physical ability to handle cargo loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.
