Starting Rate of pay: $25/hr
$500 Sign-on Bonus
+$1/hr for shift differential
Shifts Available and Hours: Day shift Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for sharing knowledge of casting process and safe operation of casting pit.
- Serve on behalf of shift supervisor or Casthouse Manager in their absence.
- Operate lathe and spectrometer accurately to calculate alloy additions to furnaces.
- Enter test results from sample analysis into log book and LAPS data entry.
- Accurately record and update entries into Oracle.
- Fiil out furnace charge and review sheets, ensuring SMACT program is being adhered to accurately update daily production board.
- Maintain daily activity and inventories of log for casting and extrusion departments.
- Communicate and submit work orders with maintenance department.
- Inspect quality of scrap, prime, and purchased log to ensure they are within Hydro standards.
- Hold tool box meetings with crew. Cover Safety topics or other necessary information for crews.
- Review work schedule and production requirements to determine what can be accomplished during your shift for that operating day ight (pit cleanings, etc.).
- At least 3 years of industrial manufacturing experience.
- Prior experience operating mobile equipment (e.g. forklifts, overhead cranes, loaders, etc).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent. (preferred)
