Cashier/Customer Service

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our retail team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to communicate effectively, manage sales processes, and promote products will contribute to a positive shopping experience and drive sales growth.

Duties

- Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries in person or via phone

- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling, credit card processing, and returns

- Manage product demos and provide information on merchandise to enhance customer engagement

- Upsell additional products or services to meet customer needs and increase sales

- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked appropriately

- Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly

- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory counts

- Ensure a clean and organized checkout area adhering to store standards

- Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment as needed

- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers remotely

Qualifications

- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred

- Bilingual skills (English and additional languages) highly desirable to serve diverse customer base

- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively

- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills

- Knowledge of merchandising, product demos, and upselling techniques is a plus

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to work well within a team and independently when necessary

- Time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously

- Professional appearance with good phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
