Carlin - Machinist I (Tech 4 or Higher)

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Machinist at our Carlin operations. Responsibilities:

- Reporting to the Central Shop Supervisor, the Machinist is responsible for the following:

- Operating manual machine tools (such as lathes, grinders, and drill presses) to produce precision metal parts that meet engineering specifications

- Interpreting blueprints, setting up machines, performing measurements, and making adjustments to ensure quality and accuracy

- Perform other duties as assigned

- Offers constructive solutions to problems and issues

- Cutting and shaping various types of metals to create and repair parts for the operations and surface departments

- Running lathes, mills, saws, shears, breaks, presses etc. to facilitate efficient fabrication of complex metal parts

- Use of various hand tools such as grinders, sanders, files, and saws

- Utilize Central Shop facilities as well as work out in the field to repair and measure process equipment

- Drives light vehicles and forklifts

- Constant concentration and alertness while running machines and operating equipment

- Good dexterity and motor controls

- Good communication skills

- Ability to meet deadlines

- Normal vision or better

- Attention to detail

- Ability to follow policy standards and direction
