Burrow Global is seeking a
Capital Projects / MRO Procurement Specialist
to join our team for a
contract assignment
in The Woodlands, TX area.
Candidates for this position
must have
experience supporting capital project procurement in a petrochemical or refinery environment. This position will focus on MRO procurement that involves Capital Projects and maintenance operations for the organization.
This role is essential for identifying and selecting suppliers that align with project requirements while maintaining a focus on quality, cost, and delivery timelines. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders, including project managers and engineers, to ensure procurement processes are seamless and efficient.
Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing:•Identify and select suppliers that meet project requirements for quality, cost, and delivery.
•Develop and maintain an Approved Manufacturer/Vendor List in collaboration with Engineering and the Category Manager.
•Ability to source products across multiple states.
Cost Modeling
•Conduct cost modeling to inform procurement strategies and decisions.
Collaboration
•Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project needs and timelines.
•Act as the Procurement liaison with Engineering during the Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) process.
Vendor Performance Evaluation
•Assess supplier performance regularly and make recommendations for improvements or changes as necessary.
•Support the Category Manager in the Supplier Relationship Management process.
Process Mapping
•Recover and document legacy workflows and develop new process workflows as appropriate.
Contract Negotiation
•Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to secure favorable pricing and contractual terms.
Budget Management
•Monitor and maintain budgets, ensuring that expenditures remain within financial limits.
Risk Management
•Identify potential procurement risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Compliance
•Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and organizational policies.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
•Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement processes in the petrochemical industry
•Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
•Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
•Knowledge of compliance and risk management in procurement.
•MS Office skills with a heavy emphasis on MS Excel and Teams
